Start-up contribution for programmes favouring the promotion and the development of Ostend-Bruges International Airport

In the framework of the Communication from the Commission "Community Guidelines on financing of airports and start-up aid to airlines departing from a regional airport as home base" (O.J.E.U., C 312/1, of 09/12/2005), a start-up aid measure has been developed for programmes favouring the promotion and development of Ostend-Bruges International Airport.

This start-up contribution can be granted to airline companies which wish to start up new routes between Ostend-Bruges International Airport and other EU airports.

The start-up aid contribution, which may granted for a maximum period of 3 years, was approved on 17/11/2009 by the European Commission (aid measure nr. N377/2009).
